Biography

Amr Mostafa was born December 30 in Cairo he lived in a normal family of two sisters and one brother, he was talented since his first year years in school through composing Arabic poems in school books, The first toy he bought was a guitar (a very small guitar) when he was three years old.

Amr entered air force high school and he stayed there for one year then he quit since he didn't like to be just a prisoner in a school and couldn't adapt with that environment. He left this school although he was wishing to be a pilot, after a couple of years Amr joined faculty of law in Cairo University, which was the beginning of his musical career, at that time he composed the university song which is called ( Gamaatna ) and another one for Palestine, and because of these two songs he won the prize of the best composer in university.

Dr Adel Omar was one of the supervisors of best composer contest, Dr Adel was teaching in Cairo University and he was one of the most popular lyrics writers, at that time Dr.Adel wrote new lyrics for Amr Diab called (Khaleek Fakrny), since Amr Mostafa won the best composer prize, Dr.Adel gave him this song to see whether he can make a melody on it, however Amr made one of the most famous and excellent songs in Arabic music till this time. Dr Adel offered the song to the famous singer Amr Diab which he loved so much and that was the first song Amr sold in his life, and it was the first announcement of Amr Mostafa's birth on the Arabic Music.
 

Amr Mostafa is the most popular composer in Middle East since he started to compose for Amr Diab, Samira Said, Nawal Al Zoghbi and many others.
